This
is a gentle therapy in which the therapist uses her hands to evaluate
and direct the lymph flow. LDT technique is applied to stimulate the
natural contractions of lymphagions. If they slow down and are not
working well due to edema, trauma, or lack of exercise, the therapist
can through touch re-educate the regular contractions of these
lymphagions.
Lymph is a fluid that flows
via the lymphatic system in the body. Proteins, excess fluid, metabolic
waste and foreign bodies (germs, toxin, etc) will be
reabsorbed/absorbed and sent to the lymph nodes which acts as
purification centers.
The nodes would breakdown
and destroy these particles and flush them out of the system via the
elimination channel like the lungs, digestive & urinary tracts and
the skin.

The
client will be lying down on a massage table while the therapist sits
or stands to administer the therapy. The session can be performed with
thin clothing on. Direct skin contact is more effective.
In
some cases one or two treatments are sufficient while others may need
more regular sessions.
Reduced
swelling, feeling relaxed, mental clarity, decreased pain, feeling of
lightness, increased need to urinate or defecate, increased thirst,
faster tissue regeneration and recovery. Those who are more “toxic” may
experience more unpleasant reactions of detoxification like feeling
more tired, cranky or moody. Any discomfort should be over fairly
quickly. Each individual will experience different results.

TENSION
RELEASE THERAPY
Tension
Release Therapy is a
therapeutic massage therapy that combines with CranioSacral Therapy
techniques.
It is an extremely effective hands-on technique that works by applying
gentle,
sustained pressure to eliminate pain and relieves tension.
Tension release therapy
aims to free
constrictions or blockages in the body, thereby alleviating problems
such as
muscle tensions or injury. Tension release therapy helps individuals
with
physical injury, illness and emotional stress. By using tension release
therapy, disruptions of the energy flow in the body are freed and
tension on
bones, muscles, joints and nerves is relieved. Ultimately, tension
release
restores complete balance back to the body.
Tension
release therapy involves
gentle, kneading manipulation combined with our botanically and
biochemically
defined essential oils. With careful observation, our therapist will
feel for
stressed areas of the body. When restricted areas are found, our
therapist will
gently massage the area and releases the tension using cranioSacral
techniques
until the tension is felt no more. A tension release session may last
for 90
minutes and can be beneficial once patients come for weekly sessions,
depending
on a patient's condition. One needs few sessions, others need more than 10 sessions.
In addition tension release therapy
can be used to treat back pain; help persons suffering from frozen
shoulder,
headaches, chronic fatigue syndrome, menstrual problems, tennis or
golfer's
elbow, sprains, muscle spasms and sports injuries.
